How Smash Bros. left the door open for a Mega Man HD Game.

This past E3 Nintendo dropped a bombshell for all their fans.  Not just the simple fact that the new Smash Bros. will be released next year but an icon in the gaming community will be joining the fight; The “Blue bomber” himself Mega Man.  Without question fans have wanted Mega Man in this game before Brawl was even released but were left wondering “what if?”  Now that he is finally in Smash Bros. fans are getting exactly what they want with a fighter that is unlike any other that has been seen in a Smash Bros. game to date.

Smash Bros. may be the title that will launch recently slumping Wii U Sales; however pertaining to Mega Man’s own game, fans will still be left with the question “what if?”  It has been 3 years since the last remnants of the “Blue Bomber” has been seen in his own video game for consoles.  The recently released Mega Man Unlimited may have eased the hearts of Mega Man fans; but the game was fan made and stuck on the PC (my opinion I think Mega Man should be on a console).

Even though there is no news on a Mega Man console game being released anytime soon, Nintendo and Smash Bros. have left the door open for Capcom to possibly resurrect this amazing franchise.  The Design on the Smash Bros. Mega Man could easily be incorporated into a full game and combine the formatting of all Mega Man games from 1 thru 10 even throwing in some aspects from Mega Man X as well (Mega Man X is the future Mega Man).  It would show the evolution of the Blue Bomber and the aspect of how Dr. Light would eventually think up the design of Mega Man X.  Putting Mega Man into his own HD game would truly give the Blue Bomber the respect he deserves from Capcom and launch him into a whole new stratosphere.
Capcom may be celebrating the 25th anniversary of Mega Man, but have yet to show any type of respect to the character and to the fans that have supported him for many years. Add on the recent cancellation of Mega Man Online along with Keiji Inafune’s (creator of Mega Man) recent announcement of Mighty No. 9 (a game very similar to Mega Man) and the pressure is really going to be on Capcom.  Instead of them hanging on to the Street Fighter IV thread releasing more tweaked versions year after year, and creating side story games from the Resident Evil series, it is time for them to do what the fans have been clamoring for.  Put that Blue Robot of Justice back in his own game and stick him into the world of HD.
