Forza Motorsport 6
Forza
Motorsport 6 is the sixth major installment in the Forza Motorsport series developed
by Turn 10 studios and was scheduled for release Yesterday (September 15,
2015).
Forza
6 introduces some never before seen mechanics into the game. The most notable
of them is driving in the rain. Now you might say that we have seen rain in
other driving games, but what is notable about this is that for the first time
the rain is not just for cosmetics and appearances. When you drive while it’s
raining you will see puddles of water on the track. These puddles, while going
through at high speeds, will cause the player’s car to skid or even hydroplane.
The designers of the game travelled to all the in game tracks to study them
while it rained to see where the puddles formed and model them in the game.
These puddles, however, will be purely static meaning that they will always
appear on the same place in the track every time it is raining giving players a
chance to learn the new environments and adjust their driving accordingly. The
game’s single player story will feature over 70 hours of game play.
Forza
6 will also feature over 450 cars which is more than double the amount in Forza
5. All of the cars will be available at launch without the use of tokens unlike
in Forza 5. Many of these cars have been carried over from other Forza games on
the Xbox 360 but the models themselves have been rebuilt for the Xbox one to
work with the games Forzavista mode.
The
game will also include 26 tracks, 9 of which are brand new to the franchise.
Iconic tracks like Nürburgring
and Le Mans make a return. Some of the new locations exciting locations include
the Daytona track and the circuit of the Americas, while tracks like
Indianapolis were recreated in game after its real life remodel in 2014.
With
all that and the new dynamic element possible because of the new generation
consoles, Forza Motorsport 6 is the biggest and best Forza game yet, so if you
are a fan of racing we highly recommend getting this game, you won’t be
disappointed!
